Big Sister

Welcome Baby Dylan!

We are so excited to announce Dylan McNeil's arrival! He was born January 7th at 10:18 pm. Dylan was 6 pounds, 1 ounce and 19 inches long (all 3 of the kids have been 19 inches long).

 Reading One Day on my Kindle and watching trashy MTV shows while waiting to dilate.

 My mom and Dave were my walking buddies while I tried to dilate further.

I did not react well to the epidural this time. It was not a good experience. My blood pressure got really low and I felt very light-headed and nauseous. I had to be given oxygen, ephedrine and zofran.

 He's here! He looks huge in this picture even though he is only 6 lbs 1 oz. It only took a couple contractions to push Dylan out and he didn't cry at first. He was very alert from the beginning. One of the nurses said, "Oh, it looks like red hair" as she was cleaning him up. We all laughed and told her his big brother was a redhead.

 It is such an amazing feeling to meet your child. I am tearing up as I type this. It truly is the experience of love at first sight! I love this baby boy even more than I ever could have imagined.

Forget champagne...I wanted to celebrate with Rombauer chardonnay! Jeff Baglio, an attorney that works for Dave and a friend of ours, bought me a case for Christmas and I couldn't wait to drink it. I loved how they put a hospital tag on our wine so they could chill it in the hospital fridge.
