Laughing Gas

Carson had his first dental procedure, complete with his first experience with "laughing gas". I remember doing that myself when I was little. Carson has deep grooves in his molars and he needed sealants on six of his teeth. He was a total trooper and didn't complain at all. Everyone at our dentists office is so nice and they make it fun for the kids. I wish my early dental experiences would have been like this. Maybe I would not dread the dentist the way I do now! Carson's only complaint after his appointment was the yucky taste in his mouth. I took him to Starbucks for a coffee/chocolate milk date to sweeten up his little mouth. I'm sure Dr. Evelynne would not be impressed!

Happy Easter

Since we have a new baby, everyone came to us this year! I did miss the tradition of Jonathan Club Easter brunch, but it was really nice to have everyone at our house and to avoid a screaming Dylan in the car. The Easter bunny brought lots of goodies for the kids and they loved the egg hunt.

All the boys were wearing light blue or gingham shirts (including Dylan). We meant to take a picture, but forgot about it.

Carson "eating" sushi with Auntie E

My 3 darling kiddos. Brooke was looking pretty chipper considering she had a double ear infection and croup. The steroids did wonders. She was running around, singing, and full of energy!

Neighborhood Hangout

Taryn had a great idea to meet up with the kids at the cul-de-sac behind our recreation center. We brought bikes, plasma cars, and scooters and the kids had a blast. Their favorite part was just sitting on a wall and "hanging out". This seems like a preview of middle school!

Tae Kwon Do Uniform

Carson is loving Tae Kwon Do. He got his uniform after class today and he was so excited that he wanted to put it on right away. I think he looks ridiculously cute in it : )! He takes the class with Zachary, Izzy, and Corbin. It is so much fun to watch them and to chat with the mamas too.

Brooke's Birthday

Opening presents starting with a Fancy Nancy nightgown

Finally getting a doll that she can "wash"

I love that she is wearing her baby doll in her Ergo carrier. She is such a mini-mama!

P is for Princess book from the Vick boys.

We went to UTC shopping and out to lunch. While I was buying Agnes a Mother's Day present, Dave went into Stride Rite with kids and Carson really wanted these Star Wars shoes that look like the character Captain Rex. Brooke picked out (with my guidance) these cute pink Saucony running shoes, which will be good for her sports classes. She insisted on taking off her pretty sandals that matched her smocked birthday dress so that she could wear her new tennis shoes.

I really am not a fan of these shoes and didn't ever want to buy my kids character shoes or light-up shoes and these are both! Dave talked me into it and made me feel like a snob for caring so much about what they wear. Carson was thrilled that I let him get the shoes, and I do realize that I care too much about that stuff. The excitement on his face every time he puts them on is totally worth it. They are school only shoes though : )

I needed to pick up some foundation and Brooke joined me at the Chanel counter. The sales lady suggested Brooke try on some lip gloss while I paid for my purchase. She ate it up! I texted the picture to Dave and the response I got was, "SARAH! Why are you trying to make my daughter 16 at age 3?" Brooke's first time at a make-up counter was at 3 years old and it was Chanel....ha!

Brooke is 3!

My sassy little Brookie Pants is 3 years old today! I just adore this crazy little girl even though she drives me crazy half the time. I'm hoping that 3 is going to be a less challenging year. She is a girly girl through and through, but also loves doing sports and playing Star Wars and legos with Carson. I love that she is so feminine yet wants to do and try everything. She is such a nurturer and is amazing with baby Dylan. Brooke is so sweet to him and gives him multiple hugs and kisses every day. I am so proud of how giving she is with her family. Even if she has the most special toy or delicious treat, Brooke always wants to share with us. If we go to Starbucks when Carson is at school, Brooke always asks if we can pick up a chocolate milk to give to Carson after school. I really love this about her! Brooke loves school, music, sports class, and dance class. She is a social little girl and enjoys trying new things and meeting new friends. Every night when we put her to bed she insists on a "kiss hug" from everyone in the family and she insists that the kiss lands perfectly on her lips (she does this with her teachers too!). As I say goodnight and tell Brooke I love her, she always says, "I love you more!". She got this from the movie Tangled : )
